An herb garden packed full of plants used in traditional medicine was opened in Haiyuncang residential community on Tuesday.
The 800-square-meter garden includes more than 30 types of herb used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
Each plant is labeled with a tag that outlines its properties and medicinal use. Visitors can also experience TCM treatments in a newly built 80-sq-m exhibition room.
Many households in the residential community have been involved in the TCM business for generations. The community set up the garden and the exhibition room in order to introduce more people to TCM.
